I’ve become rather camera shy lately. I’ve been experiencing some really emotional times. Things so overwhelming that I haven’t really even thought of my weight that much. I’ve been shedding pounds and it occurred to me the more that I focused on living my life, and surviving, the easier it became to accept my body. I’m not sexy because I’m curvy, I’m not pretty because I’m curvy, I’m not brave because I’m curvy. I’m brave because I made the choice to live my life.
And while I have trouble finding beauty in this photo, still feeling those nerves in the bottom of my stomach when pressing the post button - I remind myself that I’m alive, and that’s the most beautiful thing I can be.
